With over 15 years of working experience, Awal brings on board an extensive expertise in the area of Accounting, Finance and Logistics. He joined the winning team of IWAD in 2015 and has been outstanding in his area of specialization. Awal has also worked with other companies such as Ghana Cotton Company Limited as an Accounting Assistant and Stores Assistant.
Before joining IWAD, he worked as an Accounts Officer with Wienco Cotton Ghana Limited
Position: Administrative Assistant (Yagaba)
Francesca brings on board 5 years of working experience .
She has marketing background with experience in banking and research work. She has worked with GN Bank where she held the position of a Cashier\ Teller.
In her previous capacities, she also worked with Participatory Development Associates as a field worker with Innovations for Poverty Action.
She obtained a Higher National Diploma Certificate in Marketing from Tamale Technical University and proceeded to acquire a degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Cape Coast.
Her hunger for knowledge and passion for human development has earn her this position with IWAD.
Position: Administrative Assistant (Accra)
Faila is the Administrative Assistant for IWAD (Accra office). She joined IWAD in November 2015 after completing her national service program with National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
She graduated from Central University College with BSc in Human Resource Management in 2014. Whiles in college she undertook internship programs within the Human Resource Department of Kings Energy Ltd Accra. Her willingness to work and learn earned her this role with IWAD.
Position: Farm Manager
Obed Kofi Tuabu is an irrigation and drainage engineer with over 15 years of practical field experience in the NGO and Private sectors.
Obed was previously the Project Officer (Agriculture) for the Women and Development Project in Nkwanta in the Oti Region from 2008 to 2010.
He joined IWAD Ghana Limited in 2013 as the Smallholder Irrigation Manager at the initial stages of the IWAD project. He later rose through the ranks to become the Field Operations Manager and remained in that position until 2019 when he left for further studies. He came back to the project in 2024 as the Farm Manager.
