Sumani Mohammed Awal
Position: Accounts Officer
With over 15 years of working experience, Awal brings on board an extensive expertise in the area of Accounting, Finance and Logistics. He joined the winning team of IWAD in 2015 and has been outstanding in his area of specialization. Awal has also worked with other companies such as Ghana Cotton Company Limited as an Accounting Assistant and Stores Assistant.
Before joining IWAD, he worked as an Accounts Officer with Wienco Cotton Ghana Limited
Position: Administrative Assistant (Tamale)
Alberta brings on board, 10 years working experience in Administration and office Management.
She has an Accounting background and has worked with the University for Development studies in the Northern Region where she held the position of Administrative Assistant from 2009 to 2011.
In her previous capacities, she also worked with Save the children International UK, and right before joining the IWAD Family, she was the Manager for Wooden Italian Restaurant in Tamale. She brings onboard, a diverse experience in office administration and Management.
Faila Moomin Alhassan
Position: Administrative Assistant (Accra)
Faila is the Administrative Assistant for IWAD (Accra office). She joined IWAD in November 2015 after completing her national service program with National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
She graduated from Central University College with BSc in Human Resource Management in 2014. Whiles in college she undertook internship programs within the Human Resource Department of Kings Energy Ltd Accra. Her willingness to work and learn earned her this role with IWAD.
Mutala Yakubu Ibrahim
Position: Customary Land Liaison Officer
Mutala Yakubu Ibrahim brings on board seven (7) years’ working experience in the areas of business development, community mobilization and outreach, value chain facilitation, project coordination and implementation among others. He joined IWAD GH. LTD in April 2017 as the Customary Land Liaison Officer chiefly to lead in the management of IWAD concession through effective engagement with traditional authority, community leaders and all relevant actors of the project.
Hitherto, he worked for the Association of Church-based Development Projects (ACDEP) from 2013 – 2016 in the implementation of the Northern Rural Growth Programme (NRGP) which was funded by IFAD and AfDB. He began with ACDEP as a Field Business Facilitator and was later promoted to a Programme Manager for Northern Region. He also served as Zonal Field Officer for the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) from 2009 – 2012 under the Millennium Challenge Account – Ghana Program funded by the United States Government.
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation officer
She brings in over four years working experience in research and data management, and has worked with four reputable research organizations as a field data enumerator, data editor and supervisor of data collection teams. She also served as a field supervisor for FEED THE FUTURE (Population Based Survey) in 2015.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Development Studies (Economics and Entrepreneurship Development option) obtained in 2010 from the University for Development Studies. Kusumi joined IWAD as the monitoring and evaluation officer in 2016 and she is expected to bring on board both theoretical and practical knowledge for the effective management of the M&E unit.
