Name: Emmanuel Arko Sagoe
Position: Smallholder Irrigation Unit Head.
He joined Iwad Ghana Limited as a Conservation agriculture technical officer in May 2017. His prime responsibility was training farmers in the Mamprugu Moaduri communities the good agronomic practices involved in rice production and also a lead technical officer educating smallholder irrigation farmers on the use of different irrigation systems in vegetable production through demonstrations under Power innovation in commercial Agriculture initiated by USAID.
Before joining Iwad, He worked as an Agricultural Technical officer under the Shinkaafa Buni Project initiated by Avnash Ghana-Nyankpala to train farmers around Kumbugu district to arrive at improving better yields in rice production to improve upon their livelihoods.
He also served at the resource and crop management division under Council for Scientific and Industrial Reseach Crops Research Institute-fumesua where he was assistant technical officer under the Embrapa project.
Name: Yussif Mohammed Tajudeen
Position: Technical Officer, Smallholder Irrigation
Tajudeen is the technical officer for the smallholder irrigation farmers in Yagaba. He joined IWAD as an intern in August 2017 through Africa Lead Agribusiness internship Program. He served as Solar Irrigation Officer in charge of Power Innovations in Commercial Agriculture (PICA) demonstration fields. He signed an employment contract with IWAD in June 2018 as a Technical Officer, after an appraisal of my services by IWAD Management through my supervisor.
Before joining IWAD, he worked as the assistant Manager for Alpha Agri-Commodities, a Local Implementing Partner with IFDC. He also severed as an intern in Zabzugu district Planning Unit after my National Service in the district Agric Department.
