IWAD/PICA completed renovations of a Community Information Center (CIC) in Yagaba. The center which was put up by the GIFEC program for the Mamprugu Moagduri district was never operational. IWAD made this investment in the local community to facilitate local economic development of the people.
The center began operations of a library and computer software training for students and community members to afford them the opportunity to explore the use of ICT as a foundation for further study of the subject and to enhance economic activities of people in the communities.
The facility now serves as a center of learning for community-based ICT services with an adjoining library with books, daily newspapers and magazines to increase the learning habits of students and assist in information dissemination.
